This is a history of Whalley Stud

Stephen & Mary Howarth.

My husband had an inheritance from his step father, Jack Whalley, and with this he bought ROSS BLACK BESS in 1988, at the Brightwells Cob sales. He bred a foal in 1991 called WHALLEY ROSINA, by CYNTWELL PRINCE CARDI, who I owned, and thus it began.

And me well, I have been addicted to horses since 1958, so my very patient hubby is a saint.
I had been breeding under the prefix BRYMAR but have used WHALLEY since 1992.

My daughter Lucy, to whom I have passed on my addiction, has now taken the reins and runs the stud as her own.
